Your unique child didn’t come with instructions.
that’s why it feels so hard.

As a psychologist, speaker, and mom of three neurodivergent kids, I know what it's like when the stakes feel high and typical advice isn't working. I'm here to help you trust your instincts and find what works.

I've made it my mission to support others, not by offering all the answers, but by helping them trust their instincts, let go of perfectionism, and feel confident showing up (even when it's messy). That's what I aim to give, both in therapy and on stage.

Why I do this work

Being adopted as an infant sparked my lifelong need to understand what makes people who they are (and honestly, what makes me who I am). Now I channel that fascination with nature versus nurture into understanding the why behind kids' behaviors. Once we know why, we can figure out how to help. It’s all about putting the pieces of the puzzle together.
I’m also a parent. I’ve been where you are. I remember sitting in a therapist's office with my own child. Despite all my training, I felt overwhelmed—not as a psychologist, but as a mom. I realized even the most “qualified” adults can feel helpless when it’s their child struggling. It hit home how much it matters when someone truly partners with you.
My professional knowledge and experience are one piece of the puzzle. The other piece is getting to know your family and putting that knowledge to work for you.

Beyond the Office

When I'm not in sessions or speaking, you'll find me walking with my dog or friends, hanging with my husband, lifting weights, or experimenting in the kitchen.

As a new empty-nester, I'm redirecting my scout leader and band booster energy into gardening and finding new ways to volunteer.

I'm always learning something new through books and podcasts, and these days I treasure the moments when my kids are available to connect.

Being in nature grounds me, whether that's yard work or just sitting outside with coffee.

Why the Dogwood?
The dogwood tree holds deep personal meaning for me.

As one of the first trees to bloom in spring, it brings hope after difficult winters.

I'll never forget the dogwood in full bloom as I brought my first child home after a week in the NICU—a reminder that beauty and growth can emerge from challenging times.

Like the dogwood, I guide families through difficult seasons toward resilience.  I collaborate with children, teens, and their caregivers to develop strong roots and the skills to flourish, no matter what weather comes their way.
